Women’s Health and Naturopathy

This interview features Dr. Jane Guiltinan ND, who is the dean of Naturopathic Medicine at Bastyr.  You can read her bio here (she’s kind of a big deal).  For those of you curious about seeing a naturopath for women’s health issues … watch on.

(My only amendment to the video is that IUD insertions are now a part of Naturopathic Doctors scope of practice.)

Also on this video is Dr. Chris Holder who you can lean more about here as well as Dr. Andrew Brandeis.  Dr. Brandeis founded MedFinds, a resource to spread awareness about the value of integrative and alternative medicine to patients interested in a natural approach to health care.

Somehow he did this while in medical school … seriously.  Check MedFinds out – there are some great resources throughout the site, from drug rehab centers to a database of Botanical Medicine scientific monographs.   I especially like the database of therapy definitions.  Bastyr grads and students never fail to amaze me.
