A New Chapter

Some highlights from the past few months, mostly graduation festivities:

It seems like many of the biggest changes in life happen gradually and then suddenly. Children grow up, we all age, people come together and do great things, like, build Rome, or … become physicians. It seems like just yesterday I was sitting in a Portsmouth, NH Naturopathic Doctor’s office for the first time. Five minutes into my visit, I knew this was exactly what I wanted to do. It was one week shy of my 24th birthday and I had just returned home to NH from Santa Monica where I’d finished Ana Forrest’s month long yoga teacher training. A month long experience that ensured me, teaching yoga was no longer what I wanted to do with my life.

Anyway, not much posting as of late with all the on-goings. Finishing up naturopathic medical school is quite a task. Here are some pics of all the events in between finishing up competencies, studying for exams, turning in all my paperwork, seeing patients and checking things off my never ending to-do list. It has been an incredible month, and graduation day was one of the highlights of my life.

As my friend Pragati said in her appreciation note:

“To my classmates: Thank you for the honor of learning the art of medicine beside you.”

I could not have said it better myself. Congratulations fellow graduates!
